excuses for the blind, amusement for the rest.

Besides some of the most awkward quease-inducing stage banter i’ve ever listened to, The Everybodyfields concert at The Ark last night was wonderful. They did a heartscraping encore of classic R and B duets (including and especially “all i have to do is dream” by the everly brothers) which made me realize exactly how important harmonies are to me in music. Because i’m exhausted and don’t want to write some long thing here, quite simply, here are some of my favorite harmonies that i could think of off the top of my head

This is Eddie Vedder and Janet Weiss playing “Tonight You Belong To Me” at Sleater Kinney’s last show.

In My Way” is from The Kamikaze Hearts’ 2003 album Seven More Wonders of the World.

The World’s A Mess, It’s In My Kiss” is an X song from their first album Los Angeles, but this version come from the rarities compilation Beyond and Back.

Tinfoil” is from the Rainer Maria album Past Worn Searching.

No Dreams” is From Oakley Hall’s album I’ll Follow You.

Farewell and Goodnight” is from The Smashing Pumpkins album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.
